What type of bike transmission choose?
The transmission of a bike plays an essential role in its operation, allowing to convert the cyclist's energy into motion. Its main objective is to transmit this energy from the chain to the rear wheels to propel the bike. Different types of transmissions exist:
- Integrated transmission: present on electric bikes, it combines electric assistance and automatic speed changes.
- Fixed transmission: used in fixed gable bicycles, offering a direct connection between the cyclist and the road.
- Classical transmission: made up of trays, gables and elsewhere, it allows various speed changes, adapted to various terrains.
